Ground prepared for grass differs from a base for paving or a structure. Share the next installer’s requirements so the finished grade serves that use.
Balance material movement
Some sites can reuse soil within the work area; others need imported fill or export. A plan should identify quantities and placement areas where possible.

What is the difference between rough and finish grading?
Rough grading creates the general landform. Finish grading refines the surface for the specified next stage; it does not necessarily include topsoil, seed, or surfacing.
Can you work with my builder or landscaper?
Share their requirements and desired sequence during the estimate so the earthwork and handoff can be coordinated.
Does grading include clearing?
Only if specified. Trees, brush, stumps, and debris may need separate removal before earthwork can begin.
